Come join us to explore Reno's oasis of solitude. April brings with it the beginning of spring migration and we will see various resident and migrant bird species as they arrive in our area.  Oxbow Nature Study Area is a great little park along the Truckee River with cottonwoods and a cattail pond.  Meet in the Oxbow Park parking lot for this easy nature trail walk. This park is a great local hotspot to find migrants and to learn about Reno's backyard birds. Resident birds include Robins, Steller's Jays, Mallards and Red-tailed Hawks. Some possible migrant species include Pine Siskins, Cedar Waxwings and Red-winged Blackbirds. Plan to spend a few hours, so bring binoculars if you have them and maybe some water.  David Jickling returns to lead this adventure!
