Approximate trip length:  8-9 miles on flat terrain. Although most of the ride is on paved bike trails, 1 – 2 miles will be on local streets with bike lanes. Be sure to bring water, sunglasses, snacks, sunscreen, and a bike helmet. Bright clothing is encouraged. (If you haven't ridden yet this year, check the air in the tires and give your bike a spin beforehand.) Likely bird sightings include Red-winged and Yellow-headed Blackbirds, Cinnamon Teals, Ruddy Ducks, Northern Shovelers, American Avocets, Black-necked Stilts, Egrets, and Northern Harriers. The trip is limited to 12 participants. For more information about the trip and the bicycling difficulty, feel free to contact the trip leader Valerie Andersen at Valerie.andersen@nevadaaudubon.org
