2023 Costa Rica Trip - Deposit

Lahontan Audubon Society in partnership with Crescentia Expeditions is honored to host a new special birding trip focused on the regionally endemic birds of Souther Costa Rica! Join us as we help support 2 local conservation groups and visit national parks and private reserves. Our small group (10 participants max) will be led by local, expert guide, Mario Cordoba. 

During our trip we’ll visit:
- Pacific rainforest lowlands near Golfito and Osa Peninsula,
- Las Cruces Biological Station in San Vito intermountain valley
- Talamanca cloud forest mountains in San Gerardo de Dota
This tour is designed for birders with some level of experience seeking to expand their knowledge about neotropical birds. The trip includes all lodging, all meals, professional birding guide, private a/c coach, entrance fees, printed checklist, purified drinking water & gratuities.

9-10 birders: $3650
7-8 birders: $3900

A $500 deposit is required to reserve your space.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received more than ninety (90) days prior to the trip start date will not have any cancellation fees as long as there is a waitlist and/or an alternative person is found for the space. Cancellations received between ninety (90) and sixty (60) days prior to the start date of the program will result in the loss of the $500 deposit. Cancellations received between the fifty-ninth (59) day and thirty-first (31) day prior to the start date of the program days will be subject to a minimum charge of 50% of the total trip price. Cancellations received thirty (30) days or less from the start of the trip will be charged 100% of the total cost of the program. There will be no refunds if all or part of the program is canceled after the start. It is strongly recommended that trip cancellation and medical emergency insurance is purchased for this trip.
