Panama has a wealth of biodiversity in its lush rainforests, verdant wetlands, cloud forests, coastal plains, and Panama Canal area. Birders from all over the world “flock” to Panama to explore and enjoy its natural history and abundant opportunities for birding over 1,000 species including the opportunity to see the rare and majestic Harpy Eagle. The Panama Birding Highlights and Harpy Eagle Quest birding trip offered to Lahontan Audubon Society through Crescentia Expeditions is an opportunity for enthusiastic birders of intermediate or advanced levels to experience a diversity of neotropical bird species, ecological zones, the Panama Canal, and search for the iconic Harpy Eagle.

Single supplement (Limited Availability) $750

If requesting a single supplement (single room), the Lahontan Audubon Society representative, Kath Giel, will confirm availability within a week of deposit.

A $600 deposit is required to reserve your space.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY: A $600 deposit is due upon sign up to make a reservation. Final trip payment is due 90 days prior to the trip departure date. Final payments can be made by check or ACH transfer to Lahontan Audubon Society; payments made by credit card are subject to a 3% surcharge to cover credit card fees.

Cancellations received more than ninety (90) days prior to trip start date will not have any cancellation fees as long as there is a waitlist and/or an alternative person is found for the space. Cancellations received between ninety (90) and sixty (60) days prior to the start date of the program will result in the loss of the $600 deposit. Cancellations received between the fifty-ninth (59) day and thirty-first (31) day prior to the start date of the program days will be subject to a minimum charge of 50% of the total trip price. Cancellations received thirty (30) days or less from the start of the trip will be charged 100% of the total cost of the program. There will be no refunds if all or part of the program is canceled after the start. It is strongly recommended that trip cancellation and medical emergency insurance is purchased for this trip. Cancellations due to lack of a single supplement will be notified within 14 days of registration and receive a full refund of the deposit.
