Planting for Garden Birds Workshop
03/22/2026 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM PT
Location
Sparks, NV
Summary
Date: Sunday, March 22 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Leader: Ashley Walker
Join us for a workshop all about landscaping for birds!
This class/talk (free to the public!) will go over everything you need in your garden space to attract birds and stimulate a community of wildlife, no matter the size or space. Whether you have a window box, raised bed, or acre of backyard, this talk is for you. This talk will include habitat requirements for birds (shelter, food, and water), planning and planting, and how meeting these basic requirements could certify your garden space as a National Wildlife Federation wildlife habitat.
The class leader is Ashley Walker, an avid birder and backyard gardener with years of experience in both topics. Ashley leads bird walks with Northwest Nevada Bird Society and is a mother and pet owner, and wants to share with you how to optimize your space in a beautiful and ecological way.
